The U.S. CMA (Certified ManagementAccountant) certification requires a financial investment covering membership, exam, and study materials. To enroll, candidates must join the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), with professional membership costing around $295/year and student membership between $45–$160/year.

A one-time CMA entrance fee is charged—$300 for professionals and $225 for students—to activate the 3-year exam eligibility period. The CMA exam has

two parts, with fees of approximately $545 per part for professionals and $407 per part for students, though some providers list slightly lower amounts.

Additionally, review courses and study materials typically cost between $1,200 and $1,500, depending on the provider.
