cpa exam dates
CPA Exam Dates
The CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam is offered throughout the year, but the scheduling depends on your chosen testing center and jurisdiction rules. With the Continuous Testing Model now in place, candidates can take the CPA exam year-round, except on certain holidays or when the testing centers are closed.
You
can schedule the exam at any time once you receive your Notice to
Schedule (NTS), provided there is seat availability at
Prometric centers. It’s advisable to plan in advance because popular time
slots, especially around month-ends, tend to fill quickly.
Key Points:
·
Continuous Testing:
No fixed testing windows; exams available throughout the year.
·
Scheduling:
Done via the NASBA portal or directly through Prometric.
·
Score Release:
Results are typically released on a rolling basis within weeks of your test
date.
Best Time to Take the Exam
Many
candidates prefer scheduling exams during quieter periods in their personal or
professional life, or during the first half of the year to allow retake
opportunities if needed.
Always
check with your state board and NASBA for any jurisdiction-specific
deadlines or blackout periods.
